Would like more information about this dagger. Seems to have elements from several regions. The overall feel is eastern part of the Sahel. Perhaps the elongated tip is diagnostic?

Blade has a pattern along the spine. Flat, oblong horn guard, round wood hilt. Tang extends through hilt. The scabbard is wood/leather with metallic fittings. The blade is about 21 cm, overall length is about 31 cm. |

Looks very much like a West African blade in some ways like the stiletto blades from the region to me. The guard is also like those on swords and daggers from the Nigerian/Cameroon borders. The scabbard in more confusing, however the rings on the throat look North African.

			Possibly Algerian.

The tip of the blade is reminiscent of some Flyssas. Best wishes Richard |
