SWORD:

Here is a lovely old, likely early to mid 20th century, SE Asian dha/daab sword. The small circular guard and artistic scabbard motifs suggests a Laotian origin. The sword is 35in. overall, with an 18in blade of homogenous steel. The hilt is carved with a nicely worked real silver bolster and pommel cap. The scabbard is wood encased in silver in en suite designs and motifs of floral patterns and animals. The scabbard also carries its original red, worn, woven baldric with tassel.

A fine example of weapons art and in excellent condition.

Here is a very nice example of a late 19th-early 20th century Burmese dha dagger of very "chunky" proportions with a carved hilt that is 3.5in. long and 4.5in. in circumference, with a 1.5in silver bolster!! The dagger is 13.5in. overall, with a thick 7.5in. blade. The dagger carries a scabbard dressed in real silver with filigree designs, and features its original, worn, red baldric.

Very attractive example with good age.
