This is another part of a collection I bought a few years ago. Recently made, but made by the descendents of the craftsmen who have been making pieces like these for a long time. 12" long. Still experimenting with staining. Using Ferric chloride. Have some stains near the blade tip that keep coming back as spots. I buff them down with 0000 steel wool and they vanish, but then when I stain, they come back. Comments on the piece? Comments also on how I can make the staining better. |

I think I lusted after all of these when they were being offered on the web a while back. Another well made piece in the traditional manner. Are all of these based on existing Moghul pieces? Ian. |
