Picked this up last week and was wondering what part of the island does it come from (Ilocano)? I have seen a few of these pop up in the last year or so and the all exhibit saber grinds on the blade?

Sorry for the late entry. I have been looking at this, and, well, not sure. It is so recent, and yes probably Luzon, but where I don't know. More recent stuff like this is beyond me right now.

Jose I do not think this is recent. The horn has age to it and it exhibits old school workmanship. I would place this dagger's age around 1940-45. I have seen 4 or 5 of these and think they must all come from the same town. Last edited by LOUIEBLADES; 14th April 2010 at 05:34 PM. |
