I need your help by this "sword" I buy by e-bay, I only have this picture from the seller. The blade have a triangular cross-section and it is 72,4 cm or 28,5 inch long over all. Thank you very much in advance,

That is a Shi-Havu sword from Rwanda late 19th century to early 20th century.

These are status swords made for higher ranking members of the tribe. These swords are fairly rare and yours is an older example as is the one I have and Flavio has Tim's piece in the thread is probably 1930s vintage.

I am not convinced that this piece is African. The scabbard really bears no resemblance to the on Lew has linked to and i do recall a while back that we had a discussion about these 3-sided blades that were actually Indonesian in origin. I must say that the dress here looks like it could be from somewhere in SEA.

thank you for the link, I have seen it, but I think that Lew is correct. I have done some research by Oriental Arms, they all look very similar to mine, special the handle. My first thought also have been Indonesia (the reason why I bought it) and I also think like this because the sheat. We will see when I have it in my hands and I can take some better pictures, it is already paid and shipped.

The scabbards are identical in constuction down to the braided binding rings and belt loop protrusion with the hole in it. Btw these blades are not three sided there is a matching middle rib on both sides of my blade and would bet Sajen's is the same as mine.
