Hello everybody,
I need your opinion on my ultimate toy.
Is it a sewar, tumbuk , badik or orther rencong?
Its length is 16' ovl and 11' for the blade
the ferule is made with bone or ivory and the hilt is made with wood.

Hello Ericlaude,

The blade and handle look odd. The base of the blade does not have the traditional bismallah carving, and the filaments look cut...Is the blade of uniform thickness?

I haven't seen handles like this one yet. It doesn't seem to match the floral bud of the scabbard.

Newer piece?

Hello Emanuel,
The tickness isn't uniforme and the blade have a pamor and it's an old piece.

Hi Ericlaude,

it's a sekin from Sumatra, the handle is typical for this daggers. But the "greneng" at the blade look a little bit abnormal. Search for sekin here, you will see some similar daggers. You will find it also in Van Z. under this name.

Looks like a *Hulu Dandan variant with the end shortened a bit .
