Greek-Balkan Yatagan
An 1812 Balkan yatagan with a late engraved Greek silver scabbard.

One side has the Seal of Solomon with magical incantations. This is for protection.
The other inscription has "Allah" in it. Someone will have translate the rest. Very nice. |

Very nice yatagan!
Im not sure, but that yatagan could be made in a place near Dubrovnik, they were specialised in that sort of small granulated filigran silverwork, they made yatagans and pistols kubure. Skadar allso made similar silverwork. |
