Greetings, would just like to request for ID and age estimate of these two shields. Unfortunately I have no better quality images of them. TIA!

Those shields look large. The one on the left looks vaguely like a Bukidnon shield photographed by Dean Worcester, the American anthropologist, in the early 1900. The large boss is in a similar position. See attached.
Bagobo shields have similar features to Bukidnon. It's possible also that these shields are not from the Philippines. . Last edited by Ian; 7th September 2020 at 07:07 AM. |

Some of these are made by Bagobo hands (like Bagobo armour, also for sale on the market). Some even come from Marawi City I was told, made to look like other tribal shields or fantasy shields. There are probably other producers.
