Hi,
I need your help on this one The shashka with partially gilded and nielloed silver grip and mountings on the scabbard, has the initials "AD" under a crown with 9 pearls (spikes). Between the "ears" i has the date 10. november 1830 written in Russian. If the crown is a Russian noble crown it could be a Baron? And who could that be? Adrian Denisov? Somebody else? Looking forward to responses best regards |

Dear Ole S.,
It looks to me that you have a wonderful example. If you would like a truly in-depth assessment from an expert who works with major world collections of Caucasian arms, I highly recommend creating a free account on OBJET.art and joining the Caucasian Arms segment. There you can explore hundreds of relevant objects and share your own pieces with specialists in the field. I say this from personal experience, and I know several fellow collectors who have done the same and were extremely pleased with the quality of feedback they received. I hope this helps: https://objet.art/as/subscriptions?s...ada38ac7fa4c05 |
