			I have a question about this Jimpul. The handle and sheath contain stylized shapes of items that I cannot identify. No-1: Someone who knew a lot about Krissen assumed that because of Arabic influences it might be the word "Allah". 
		
		
		
			I can't trace no. 2 to a Dayak motif either. nr-3 ; the scabbard seems to me the "Tree of life". Is there anyone out there who can make sense of this?  |

	That is a very nice jimpul. Unfortunately I do not share your urge to identify and name the motifs on dayak art. You can check the "sold" section of mytribalart, there are several jimpuls with similar hilts there. Most probably also without specific names for the motifs. Best regards, Willem  |
