Help wanted for African artifacts
Hello all,
I recently found several I believe African artifacts. I am attaching photos of the biggest one of which I wonder if it is a ceremonial spearhead, staff, currency or what? It is made of iron, 25.5 inches long .Opinions are very welcome. Thank you. Eduardo. |

These spears with two or more points are thought to have been used by native diviners/medical practitioners/rainmakers or similar. Nice piece, perhaps from the Sudan area ? |

Thanks for the info. I really donīt know the origin, perhaps someone else can help with this. Do you have any idea how old it could be? I know it has no relation but when I found it, it was very rusted, this is why I have to clean it and maybe it now looks quite new. Regards, Eduardo |
