This knife has the basic shape of those identified as coming from the state of Kerala in India. All examples I have seen had bone or ivory hilts so an all copper hilt is a bit unusual. Nice piece.

The knife arrived today and it really is nice the blade rings like a bell when you ping the blade with your finger.

Funny... My wife is in Cochin with her cousin and her cousin's husband today on a knife-finding mission. Told her she can't board that plane to come home next week without bringing me something sharp and pointy.
