I'm not usually prone to impulse buys, but this knife got me. I don't know much about it. It was advertised as an "old persian knife". I'm thinking it may be a type of jambiya, but I'm not sure. Does anyone have any information about it? These are the seller's pictures and I have not yet recieved the knife. I'll post more info and pictures as soon as I get the knife. Thanks for looking.

My grandmother had one almost identical that she used as a letter opener. Hers was a tourist piece from the Mediterranean (Morocco?). I hope yours is better quality when it comes.

Well, I'll just have to wait until I recieve it, but I was kind of thinking it was a tourist piece since I didn't pay a much for it. I'll post more info once it comes(hopefully the end of this week or beggining of next week). Thanks anyways.
