Default 17th century rapier with head stamp

I recently acquired this rapier which i gather is 17th century. There is a head shaped stamp on both sides of the blade which i can not identify.
Blade length is 83cm and total is 97cm.
Any help would be most welcome

Congratulations on your acquisition. Staffan Kinman’s European Makers of Edged Weapons, Their Marks (2015) lists two Solingen smiths with marks consisting of Moorish heads: i) Johan (Johannis) Beugel 1648-1688 and ii) Peter the Elder Munsten zu Elberfeld 1552-1628.

Great looking sword, but technically not a rapier. More of a broad sword with a mortuary or walloon style hilt/guard.

True. These type of swords have many names like Felddegen, Reiterdegen, Walloon sword, etc.
