FACEGRIP MANDAU FROM BORNEO
A Mandau with an unusual facegrip
Probably from the Kayan of the Baram area in Sarawak. The carved spiritface is looking to the left, which gives the sword a powerfull expression when carried. The blade is simple but laminated. The scabbard has the typical four leaf motif of the Baram area. Small restores on the scabbard and hairwork. Eur 650 shipped worldwide / PayPal accpeted |
