Keris ID
Hello,
I got several kerises and I started cleaning them. I would appreciate any comments about the possible origin of this blade, its age, dapur, pamor, etc. Regards, Marius |

Nice keris Marius, however, with these plain, straight forms, it is often impossible to give much info about origin from profile photos. It is Javanese, and as a guess, I'd say possibly North Coast, Tuban classification.
To confirm or deny this we need a photo taken looking down onto the top of the gonjo. The gonjo form will give a good indication of classification (tangguh). If it is not Tuban it is possibly East Jawa. Age:- pre-1900, dhapur:- probably brojol, pamor:- adeg sapu (standing broom, Jawa Tengah). Some people would give the pamor as pamor singkir, and some of these people would then claim that the blade was attributable to Empu Singkir. Last edited by A. G. Maisey; 12th May 2019 at 10:46 PM. |

Hello,
For me it's dapur Brojol and pamor Adeg but I can't say more. Did you stain yourself? |

Thank you for the comments!
Will try to make another photo tomorrow. No etching myself. This is how I bought it. I only cleaned it and give it some oil. |

Nice keris. I like the adeg pamor. I assume it came without any dress?

additional photos
It came with a Balinese dress.
I believe the dress was specifically made for this blade as it is a perfect fit. |

Not Tuban, I'd say East Jawa.
