Hi,
Last year I bought this nice kabeala. When I type "kabeala" in the search-column of EEWRS, not many threats are shown. Does anyone have other nice kabeala's or has pictures of old sumba warriors? Also I hope to know a bit more about my kabeala and its carriers, and would be pleased to see some other pictures. Kind regards, Maurice |

Can't tell by the pictures. Is the hilt wood or ivory?

Just in case you missed this thread:
http://www.vikingsword.com/vb/showth...1&page=1&pp=30 That might be of some interest to you. My two kabeala are in a couple of the picures, horn handles, not sure of the age but probably mid-twentieth. I can take more picures of them if you're interested, but yours is already nicer I think! --Radleigh |

I sure missed that thread, Because that threat was about west-sumba swords. Thank you for telling me about this threat. I hope for pics of some sumbawarriors carrying a kabeala. I think we both will be interested in them Radleigh. --Maurice-- |
