I swapped a fair bit to get this. Is it from Timor? It is certianly more me than what I swapped.

Thanks chaps, very helpful. I am on shaky ground this far east. I swapped quite a nice silvery thing and a few over scabbard-less bits. He did well?, I did well?

All in, this is more me. There was hair sticking out of the two things at the bottom of the scabbard, a few bits of stubble left. I think it is probably early 20th century.

I remember reading that one of them more commonly had the bells or beads on the end of the hilt. The other group more commonly has no beads/bells. But for the life of me I cannot remember if it is T'boli or Bagobo that has which. Someone here will know maybe Ian will see this soon. Both I think can have scabbards like this.

Also I am not sure if this would be a kampilan or a bangkung. Where Paolo's link fits the kampilan form better.
