			Thanks chaps, very helpful.  I am on shaky ground this far east.  I swapped quite a nice silvery thing and a few over scabbard-less bits.  He did well?,  I did well?  
		
		
		
		
		
		
		
	  All in, this is more me.   There was hair sticking out of the two things at the bottom of the scabbard, a few bits of stubble left.  I think it is probably early 20th century.
