New aquisition, wotsit?

Just received this one, haven't a clue where it may be from. Any Ideas?

Length 38.5 cm, spine thickness 4 mm, handle end. Distal tapered.
Jigged rosewood grip pinned through ferrule and brass mounts, leather sheath.

I don't know why but I think of a Spanish origin? 4mm spine cool knife.
