			This one finished recently online. I hope that the winning bidder is a member here and will post better pics. The seller's pictures are a little fuzzy. This is a nice example of a very rare hilt form, and it sold for more than I expected given that the hilt is cracked and the blade has a significant forging flaw. Without better pics it is hard to say if there is a twist core running down the center of the blade. Some of you were probably watching it too. I would think it is probably 19th C. Ian. |

			Hi Ian, indeed a lot of money, but the both faults wouldn't bother me very much. I also would like to know if the blade show twist core. Regards, Detlef |

			I didn't see a twist core but evidence of silver inlay (which needs to be restored )
