areas of kukri production

i recently acquired some interest in kukri,

the consistency of the tourist ones and the recent heavy bladed made tourist ones are very consistent and seem almost factory consistent at some times.
however the traditional even recently made ones ive see have quite a variety and mostly are partial tangs.

im very curious how many areas or centres of kukri production are there at the moment.. and in fact how many kukri making villages or settlements are currently in existence and where are they geographically in the country...
