Knife origin?

Picked this one up at a local antique store. Very inexpensive and I thought it looked nice. I haven't a clue as to origin. Maybe second half of the 20th century. Has a Tibetan flavor. Anyone want to hazard a guess? Made of brass and wood. O.A. 9" blade 3 1/4" Thanks!

It looks like a Finnish puukko.

I would suggest a Scandinavian origin. The blade looks very much like a Finnish puuko and the wood treatment is suggestive of those knives, although the brass adornments are atypical.

Bigger pictures with more detail would help.

Sorry about the size. I reduced them at photobucket, now I can't seem to increase the size even after deleting and downloading again. Was trying to save on loading time. Oppps. I can see the scandinavian influence myself.

If you're shooting pix at 1 meg then after cropping save at about 70% quality ; resize to 800 x 600 (800 is max width ; actual image length is around 1,100 ) which should upload nicely to the site .

I AGREE AS TO LOCATION OF ORIGIN WITH HEAVY LAPLANDER INFLUENCE, A GOOD CHANCE IT IS A LAP KNIFE.

A finish puuko is a very good possibility, but the mounting of the blade directs also strong to a norwegian or swedish direction. My vote is absolutely scandinavian origin.
