Odd oceanic/australasian club?

stumbled across this somewhat unusual club today, billed as vintage oceanic/australasian. i guess that is another way of saying unknown pacific area

any info from y'all more knowledgeable would be appreciated. thanks.

it's 26.5 inches (567.3 cm.) long, fairly roughly carved. will post better pictures on arrival.

Looks African to me.

club arrived, 637 grams, 'blade' is 7 in. across. dark hardwood.
feels fairly substantial. edge opposite serrated is sharpish.
balance seens to favour striking with the serrated part. seems a bit awkward for throwing too.

there is a 4 in deep x about 1/8 in hole drilled in the pommel end (possibly by a past owner for a display stand?)
