Picked up this WWII knife recently and thought I'd share it.
I had a kharmic attraction to it as it was very similar in spirit to a trainer design I had made for me many years ago. Comments heartily welcomed. |

A UNUSUAL DAGGER AND IT DOES MAKE A VERY NICE PAIR WITH YOUR LARGE PRACTICE SWORD. CONGRADULATIONS
![]() DOES THE BLADE HAVE WRITING ON IT? IT LOOKS LIKE A DATE OF 1945 WHICH WOULD MAKE IT A WW2 BRING BACK BUT IT MAY HAVE BEEN OLDER WHEN AQUIRED. I SEEM TO REMEMBER SEEING SIMULAR BIRD HEAD HANDLES IN SOME OTHER POST BUT DON'T REMEMBER WHERE THEY WERE FROM OR WHICH POST IT WAS IN. ![]() |

Yes, it does say "Philippines 1945" in a very nice type of caligraphy script. From other period pieces I have handled I would say the dating is correct.
I'll try to take a closer pic tomorrow. thanks! |
