I picked up this woven split rattan hat/helmet today at a local antique show, and can't figure out where it is from. Any help on this would be appreciated. Best regards, Joe

Thank you for the link. My original thought was Philippines, but by the time I had left the flea market I had been told by different people that it was Thai, Japanese, Burmese, and one told me Himalayan. Thanks again, Joe |

Yes a salakot from the Philippines. It is in great condition and I'll bet that the pieces are silver on top.
