This is a remounted bayonet. The blade is Japanese made by national denki under Kokura supervision. The question I have is who did the remount. Do you think this hilt and scabbard point to Philippine, Indonesian or somewhere else ? Thanks in advance for any ideas

I WOULD SAY DEFINITELY PHILIPPINE MOST LIKELY VISAYAN ISLANDS , FAIRLY NICE WORK SOMEONE WITH MORE KNOWLEGE MIGHT BE ABLE TO NARROW IT DOWN A BIT IF THEY RECOGNIZE THE CARVING STYLE ON THE SCABBARD. A NICE ITEM! GOOD LUCK

is the bayonet WWII?
if it is, it might help determine age. its definetely from the Philippines as the above have stated. |
