Looks like the bidding on that one was because it was from the Philippines. The one Rick pointed out from another thread - http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...542483831&rd=1 - is a surprise. Was at a gun show this past winter & a fellow had katipunan dagger. It had three K's in a triangle with a sun in the middle engraved on the blade. He was convinced that it was from the Klan, had sent pics to some Klan organization, & was negotiating a sale to them. Told him what it was, but doubt he believed me.

I'm not sure Bill The buyer doesn't seem like a Philippine collector from his feedback , but who knows .
![]() It seems like a fairly hefty price for a clipped point bolo . Never try to disabuse a Buyer of his misconceptions about a piece ; 'tis an excersize in futility and will win you no friends . ![]() I sure wouldn't want to tell that fellow who just dropped $1,400.00 that his new treasure may well be from the Far East . ![]() |
