It's nice to see this sword retains it's staple guard; too many come without .
One of the jaws seems to have been truncated at some point . The carving is nice and crisp yet has a good age patina . The scabbard is always a plus ! Dates on the coins ?? I see it was a hairy example at one point in its life . The bell is a ceremonial addition possibly ? Good acquisition . ![]() |

Were you able to buy this Kampilan? I was watching it as well but the seller took the auction down. Were you able to buy it?
The seller also had another Kampilan w/ Tiger Bells that they took down. |

Yes, a spanish seller send me a email with the link to the auction ended and tell me if I was interested in the sword. I think the spanish seller contact direcly with the seller in Ebay and bought it. Thanks Carlos |

Beatiful too!! the handle is not carved but I think is a beatiful kampilan too. I have sevaral kampilans but the most are with carved handle. Regards Carlos |

Congratulations Carlos!
That's a nice one. I also like both the blade tip and that it has a scabbard, except all the other nice features already brought up. I had both of them on my watch list but unfortunately for the rest of us (and probably the seller too ![]() Michael |

The shape and design is not what is should be. They are nice old bells by the way, nothing wrong with that. Nice kampilan Carlos ! Here is a link to a website about tiger bells. http://www.kipas.nl/bells/index.html |
