Balkan Yatagan Info Needed
Hi Folks!
I need some help - would someone who has the Russian book on "Turkish Arms" below please post or email me the pages with info and pictures of silver balkan yataghans with their scabbards (example: the yatagan in the picture below - the sword with the "bat" ears)? I need to be able to get them translated so that I can better determine what kind of scabbard is accurate to make for one dated 1820. My email is: battara@hotmail.com Many thanks - Jose

Battara... Nothing special. Silver, with same decorations as you find on the hilt.
