Congo (?) weapons
Hi all,
I just stumbled upon these new toys for I think a good price (£90 the lot) but I'm not sure what they are exactly- they're outside my usual field. The first is, I think, a Ngulu. But the others, are they Congolese also, and if so, what? The dealer thought they were all from Cameroon- at any rate, the guy he bought them from was. Nicely-made wooden scabbards on the daggers. Many thanks in advance. |

The first one is a ngala from the Ngombe people, see here: http://www.vikingsword.com/vb/showth...ighlight=ngala
The other both daggers are Congo IMO but can't tell you the name and the exact origin. Regards, Detlef |

The others are probably Saka but the handles are bit atypical.
Sheats of congolese knives are rare. |

A lovely bargain. I do like the tasteful decoration of those wooden scabbards.
