Default Looking for similar samples of Philippine sword

I stumbled upon this pre-WW2 sword in Manila. I got to interview the family that owned this. Based on their account, this sword was gifted by a Japanese soldier during the Japanese occupation in the Philippines to their grandfather who was a government official in Ilocos Norte.

I'm curious if anyone has similar sample/s. I'm aware a smaller sample is up for auction online, but it's pretty rare that I get to see this length. My sword is 28 inches long, with a 21-inch blade that's double-edged for half its length (the upper edge is also sharp). The brass fittings are done very well on the carabao-horn, hoof-pommel hilt. The wooden scabbard is a replacement; what seems like a fragment of a leather scabbard has been taped at the bottom. It's a joy to wield, and I count is as one of my best blades.

That's a very interesting dagger from another cultulre @.@ wondering if it somehow influenced Asian blades with upper/secondary edges.
