Wrong link ; it was one of the weapons featured in the same auction that Punal won the Yakan barung from . http://cgi.liveauctions.ebay.com/ws...TRK%3AMEWA%3AIT I was watching that one and the Indo Jambiya in the same auction which went for a ridiculously high price . Question is ; was it really Venetian or a Barbary Pirate Nimcha ? Considered bidding on both but now I'm glad I didn't bother ... Also glad I didn't waste the gas driving to Rhode Island . |

A lot of money without a scabbard, when compered to those heavy cavalry sabres with a scabbard you can get for near the same money.

Here's another one from the same auction that made no sense to me: http://cgi.liveauctions.ebay.com/ws/...RK%3AMEWA%3AIT A Piso Podang with only one bid of $1,253.00. The estimate was $200.00-$300.00 and the opening bid was lower than this? How could it get so high in one bid? |
