K Pasta, Dudes?
Thought I would share my latest trade/acquisition. It is a mini lantaka that is 15.5 inches and 23 inches with the wooden handle. The bands on it are rattan, all with patina. I am not sure if it is Moro or Borneo, unlike my other lantaka that is Moro without question. Rare to have the rattan and bamboo (at bottom) bands on one. Enjoy

Sweet Jose !!
Wouldn't you just love to put a light charge of black powder in it and give it a voice again ? I know I would ....

Jose, that is a really neat Lantaka! You even got the wooden arm! BIG congrats!
I would not go more than a light charge IF you fire it at all and certainly not any kind of projectile! |

Looks awesome, and somehow familiar! Fire it???!!...not while I'm around. I hate rattan splinters.
Congrats on a lovely, and true, conversation piece. |
