This should be in the European section Chegru. Nice dagger, why 'cuchillo de monte'? I think these are rather desirable daggers and although once they appeared on the market quite often, I seldom see them now. I've seen these examples with a single 'main' edge and offset hilt, described as 'Punal Type A'. I would say that your date is rather conservative and it might be considerably older. Congratulations, very nice. I've currently got an example of types A and B. Carlos has an amazing collection of type B's and he recommended: "I know a book, with more information about Albacete cutlery, " INTRODUCCION AL ESTUDIO DE LA CUCHILLERIA ARTISTICA DE ALBACETE".." We did discuss your dagger last year: http://www.vikingsword.com/vb/showthread.php?t=13092 Last edited by Atlantia; 20th December 2011 at 11:16 AM. |
