				 | Urdu?

I seem to be getting nowhere on the Aribic translation. This may be as this could be Urdu. I did not think of that which is a bit dumb. I think the script is up right way.

Tim I had a friend from India look at it and it may be Urdu? He said since this is from Afghanistan it probably is Urdu and not Arabic. I'll ask around at work I may have someone there who can read it. Lew |

Thanks Lew, you have made me look further, it could also be Dari similar to Farsi and also Pashto though I am afraid I would not be able to tell one from the other.

These chooras are usually atributed to the Khyber Pass area tribes. Aren't these Pashtun peoples ? and so the inscription ? Just a hint. |

That would seem to suggest Pashto one of the two official languages of Afghanistan. I imagine they are all fairly similar to the untrained eye. The script might just be the makers or owners name, it would just be nice to really know.
