This year I bought a spear/lance that looks like Borneo.
It has inlays in the blade, but these inlays are unknown to me. any help / suggestions ? Best regards, Willem |

Nice spear, especially with the blade cover. I have one a bit similar, but without any decoration to the blade. Regret I don't know the meaning, if any, of the inlay. Is the inlay brass or gold ?
Regards. |

Hello Colin,
I did not have it tested, but when I bought it the inlays where tarnsihed and slightly darker. Some intense rubbing with oil and a cotton cloth brought it to the present shine. I think it is a sort of brass. I am pretty pleased with the scabbard, but wonder if someone can shed a light on the inlays. Can you post pictures of your spear for comparrison ? Best regards, Willem |
