I'm still a novice and I've been offered that blade. Fairly modern, but it is a real damscus?

Not wootz but real layered forged steel I believe .

Yeah, this would be considered damascus steel. Wootz is a type of damascus steel. Would you post pictures of the whole puppy please?

The worst thing is the characterization of this weapon being "offered" to you. That infers a private offering, not an active public auction. As you well know, discussion of active auctions is prohibited. You are no longer a "novice" here. |
