Change in Forums Privacy Policy

Effective October 11, 2010 the privacy policy will be amended to read:

To post topics and replies in the forum, you must register. Registration requires submission of an e-mail address, the accuracy of which is verified by use of that address in advising you of your password. You may select whether or not to allow public display of your e-mail address in your profile and posts. Even if you elect to disable display of your e-mail address it remains accessible to forum moderators and likely could be discovered by an unauthorized user familiar with the vBulletin programming. While moderators reserve the right to use this registration e-mail address in contacting a user concerning their use of the forum, the policy otherwise is strict nondisclosure to third parties and an absolute prohibition on use for solicitations of any sort. A unique user name must also be selected, which does not have to be your actual name. A number of other items including location, website URL and interests may be included in the profile optionally and are available for public view. The individual user should consider potential benefits and risks of what information they choose to publicly disclose in the registration process and in any posts they subsequently make to the forum.

Changed text is displayed in bold font. Previously, registration e-mail addresses were available only to the site administrator, however, in order to improve communications with the membership, moderators will now be able to access this data as of October 11, 2010.
