Default Knobkerrie question

I've recently come down with an addiction to knobkerries. Does anyone have any recommendations for care? What do you use to keep them from drying. Mineral oil? Linseed?

Do you live in a warm or cold climate?

Four seasons. Very hot in the summer. Cold in the winter.

A good wax is fine if you have forced air heating in the winter keep a container of water near the vent so it picks up some moisture this keeps the wood from drying out. The shafts have a tendancy to warp if they get too dry.
