Default any ideas on what this is is a Bow?

HI All
This came with some Japanese swords
Any idea on what it might be I do not have it in hand as yet I taught some sort of Bow but it could be a curtain rail?

Yes, I believe this is a bow. Likely from Equatorial Africa. Here are some relevant pages from my favorite book on African archery. I think the wood? objects on the limbs are a way of increasing brace height on shorter bows?
