				 | Keris Madura, pamor options?

Hi all, Found this keris yesterday, keris seems old, the rest looks more recent. It smells lovely. That the main reason I bought it. Looking for the pamor options, my first though was Sumur Sinaba or Rante. Please advise about the pamor (if possible) thanks regards Patrick |

The pamor pattern is not very specific, rather worn-out and indinstinct, so I would just identify it as pamor mlumah. Regards Last edited by Jean; 6th May 2020 at 12:12 PM. |

Yes, this blade is very badly eroded and it is difficult to name a specific motif. As Jean has said, it is pamor mlumah, that is, a "laying down" pamor, the layers of pamor material parallel with the blade core, but I think that I can see evidence of surface manipulation, I feel it might have been made as something like bendo sagodo or maybe santa. Please note I have used "feel", this opinion is a not definite. |
