Under British control the arsenals of Taebris and Isfahan had since 1810 more or less successful sztarted to built firearms after British patterns. Because of lacking effectivity this was stopped in 1839. So the Persian government was forced to order pistols, carbines and guns in Belgium. So Liège gunmakers delivered a today unknown quantity of these pistols. Your pistol is certainly one of this order. In good condition these pistols show the sign of the Isfahan arsenal on the lockplate.
