It is always difficult to place a date on Omani Khanjars especially if they have had a hard life like the example shown...What has to be considered is how much of what we see is actually original and with Omani Khanjars it can be a lot or very little as they are essentially made up of several separate and replaceable parts including the hilt, blade and silver plates... I think you have a basic style Khanjar here perhaps put together in the late 20th Century and with what appears to be a wooden hilt. Wooden hilts need not be per se " cheap'' since occasionally they may be of nice sandalwood. See my thread on Omani Khanjars. I would be happy with a date of 1975 to 1985~ in that area.
