Hold your horses as it is a little premature since it doesn't have to be a Muslim one ...

which is a lying Cresent with a star. Also found on their coinage (denar Slavonia) since medieval times and is not Islam related at all.

It could very well be indeed be from Hercegowina but more proof needs to be present instead of assumptions...

But to be sure we need a better picture of the Cresent and especially the star to verfy if it is from the Balkans or if we need to look elswhere. .

I have got some books from 1860-1900 about the Balkans and Ottoman empire with similar pics but I need a good look and better pic of the bag in order to compare and determinate
