Ken, clubs (or Guyana for that matter) is not my main expertise, so I dont feel confident putting an age on It. Although the patina (on the wood) seems good.

Thanks Colin! That is also what I suspected from looking at pictures of museum examples and from readiing the article "The aputu - analysis of a war club form distinctive to The Guianas". The string on this one looks like it has been there for some time, though. I am curious to know how these clubs were carved and what kind of tools were used?
