Just picked up this interesting and historical Chinese Military Hanger in a Shanghai flea market.

Overall 16" /410 mm with blade of 11"/280mm.
The blade is dated 1936 and carries other (as yet) untranslated marks. The hilt also has the Nationalist Star Emblem.
The hilt and furniture are of brass showing good age patina, and the Chinese literally translates as follows:
