For sale is a nice Badik Bugis in silver mounts, I think that it is from the 1930s, I have two similar badiks which are dated, see the pictures.
This Badik coming from a German collector who asked me if I can help to sell items from his collection.
The badik has a blade from 5,3 cm which is in a clean but unpolished and not etched condition but will show after an etch a nice lamination. The wooden handle shows a beautiful grain and is glossy patinated. The handle is adorned with a silver ferrule which show wear and age. Scabbard is wood covered with silver sheet which is fine embossed. There is a damage from wear at tip of the scabbard. The dagger is 24 cm long without and 27 cm with scabbard. The weight is 171 gram.
