This Royal Khanjar style is from the southern region of Oman... Salalah. Here the corded lower scabbard is key to that ID. Sticking a date on these weapons is always difficult but somewhere in the bracket 1900 to 1925...is reasonable.

It can be noted that it was one of the wives of Said Sultan who ruled 1804 TO 1856 that invented the fresh new hilt said to have Indian design influence and the scabbard could have $ rings or often 7 ...and even more occasionally. The style is encapsulated in Omani Khanjar design to this day.

The name of the lady was Sheherazad a Persian Princess.
