I am doing research on Mr. A. Gall and his collection. Alfons Albert Gunther Gall (born 1893) was a German (1939 naturalized Dutch) who lived in Soerabaija where he had a car business ('autohandel'). He was befriended with the archeologist A. Stutterheim. He was interested in early metal weapons, travelled as much as he could through remote parts of Indonesia to ask for the oldest types of metal weapons he could find and add to his collection. He must have had an enormous collection.
