Another fine Sulawesi Bugis keris up for sale.

Shown is a very chunky blade with clear pamor and well balanced waves. The Burung hilt carved from hardwood has a nice patina and adorned with a silver or silverplated lotus selut / pendokok. The wrangka of nicely grained (radiating) and shiny, chattoyance, Kemuning kayu wood. Look at the tall neck (not broken as we often see at the joint). All in an original setting and good fitting. Antique 19th century kris.
